Lyobead Production
As a leading expert in the technology, Biopharma Technology LLC provides lyobead production services. With their circular form and lower volume, lyobeads offer increased processing efficiency when compared to lyocakes. Our lyobeads are also stable at room temperatures, customizable to your diagnostics requirements, and can be stored for long periods of time.
All of our lyobeads are developed using our proprietary LyobeadPRO™ device. This can generate up to 7,000 lyobeads per hour, providing the output and capacity to meet your project’s deadlines.
Lyocake Production
In addition to lyobeads, Biopharma Technology LLC offers contract freeze-drying services for lyocakes. Lyocakes are flat, circular freeze-dried reagents generally dried in situ into a vial or other format and often composed of complete or partial reagent mixtures.
Each lyocake project is treated as a bespoke engagement, with in-depth formulation support and optimized manufacturing to meet specific project goals, timelines, and budgets.
We also support other formats such as plastic tubes, 96-well plates, as well as cartridges and custom configurations, with tailored workflows for each format.
Our Manufacturing Approach
Based in Carlsbad, California, Biopharma Technology LLC’s facility has the capacity to quickly and efficiently complete small-batch manufacturing for lyophilized products, which makes us the ideal choice for projects involving clinical trial materials, proof-of-concept studies, or initial product launches.
Our flexible production facility supports an extensive range of small-batch manufacturing options. We accommodate an array of product formats, such as vials, tubes, well plates, bulk strips and beads. Our manufacturing solution comes complete with assured quality control and ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 accredited regulatory compliance.
Biopharma Technology LLC also offers comprehensive in-house packing, kitting, and contract assembly services. Our services include the preparation, handling and packaging of lyophilized products for distribution across the US. Our shipping capabilities cover a full temperature range from -112°F to ambient, ensuring stability across logistics.
